Georges has a humble beginning at Pasir Ris Park. Founded in 1999, it started as a small sea sports centre with a beverage kiosk. It was started by an original group of friends known as the Georges brothers. It slowly evolved into a beach bar serving western grill.
In the year 2004, Georges expanded inland and nestled itself along East Coast Road. It retained its rustic and beach allure with a Balinese theme. More importantly, it kept its concept of good food, great music, and friendliness. It is a place to meet regulars and make new friends. It is quite true that no one is a stranger @ Georges, and if you are, this is where strangers become friends!
To reward our regulars (and give them a reason to come even more often), we launched the Kakis Membership. It was our way of saying “thank you” with perks, privileges, and priority access to the good stuff. If you hung around long enough, you were basically family.
Because even kakis like things digital, we rolled out the first-ever Kakis Membership App in 2018. Now, members could track their rewards, receive exclusive deals, and stay connected with us — all from the comfort of their phones (or while pretending to reply work emails).
In 2020, we took our love for the beach one step further with the Love Our Coast initiative — a community beach cleanup movement started by georges. We rallied our kakis, rolled up our sleeves, and got down to cleaning the shorelines we call home. After all, a clean beach = a happy beer.
In 2022, we took the plunge and launched our franchising model — giving others the chance to bring georges to their own neighbourhoods. We like to think of it as spreading the love, one beer and burger at a time.

georges® has adopted an environmental campaign as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative. We seek to create awareness on environmental protection and preservation of the coastline and the sea.
Termed, “LOVE OUR COAST”, is an initiative that seeks to foster greater care and responsibility towards protecting the coastal regions of Singapore The conservation of these heavily utilised coastal areas is not only key to the continued enjoyment for all who visit, but also important in reducing a greater global threat of ocean plastic waste that contributes to marine life degradation and global warming.
The campaign includes organising beach clean-up sessions and environmental workshops. Each participant will enjoy a complimentary breakfast set, Corona beer or coffee, a regular scoop of Andersen’s ice-cream and Oakley vouchers.
A dedicated Telegram channel, #LoveOurCoast will be started where participants can make active pledges to do their part in coastal conservation and stand a chance to win attractive prizes sponsored by Oakley.
The environmental workshops, also known as ‘funshops’ are conducted by environmental experts and scientists from Our Singapore Reefs team every last Sunday of each month with the aim to offer educational and practical aspects of environmental protection and preservation.
Protecting the environment is not just a trend, it is our guarantee for the future. This is also in-line with our founding vision to make a difference in people’s lives, and thus creating a sustainable environment for everyone.

Escape and get immersed in this Balinese concept bistro with beach appeal. A place where friendliness and the rustic ambience set the tone. The kitchen offers a decent variety of homemade snacks and western grill that will surely satisfy even the most discerning taste buds at MAD prices! On weekends, the bistro is turned into a stadium where football games, F1, rugby matches are screened, along with MAD deals at the bar. It is also nice to know that the bar serves a good variety of international beer and the coldest draft beer at minus degree!
